My Talented Daughter: Pink Saturday

Time for another Pink Saturday! Take some time today to visit Beverly's blog and the other Pink Saturday participants!

Today I want to share with you the beautiful shawl that my 10-year-old daughter, Lynzie, made for her American Girl doll, Felicity.

Lynzie has been sewing for almost a year now and is getting better and better all the time!

She began with a leftover piece of fabric that I had from a nightgown I made myself last summer. She found some lace and gold ribbon in my sewing box and hand-stitched it in her room at night after she'd been tucked into bed.

I think Felicity looks pretty happy with her new shawl, don't you? Good job, Lynzie!

  1. cute Happy Pink Saturday..

  2. How refreshing to see little girls still play with dolls and sew in this day and age with all it's technology!

  3. Hi! I'm Becky, just wanted to introduce myself - I love your blog and especially love the background! I recently started my own blog and linked to your blog on it - as a good blog to read!

Love the fabric used in your post :)

    Have a nice weekend!

  4. What a lovely shawl for you doll. We don't have dolls like that her in Australia very much unless we are collectors and have the money to buy them. And yours is in such beautiful condition.

  5. Following you back! It's lovely, I am so sad that they are discontinuing Felicity. By the time my Charlotte graduates from her (one) Bitty Twin, none of the old favorites will be left.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I read each one of them and love to respond back to those who visit! Please consider signing up for EMAIL NOTICES so you'll have a reminder of our weekly HOMEMAKING PARTY---and more! Have a wonderful day!
