Antique Parlor Chair and Bonnet

I am so excited to be participating in Vintage Thingie Thursday with Coloradolady and the gang!  It's been months since I've linked up...where have I been???  Take a few minutes to head over to Coloradolady's blog and visit a few of the VTT participants today!

This pretty bonnet was also found in that booth and it's likely that both came from the same old farmhouse on Washington's Whidbey Island.  The woman at the shop told me that they'd been taken  from an estate there and it's very probable that they'd been in that same home since they were first acquired!  I love the intricate beading and silky pink fabric.  This bonnet is in excellent condition with no marks or tears---it could have been made today!

This chair really is my prized piece of furniture!  I even called home for approval of it's purchase before handing over the big bucks!  While I don't trust any of us "grown ups" to sit in it, it makes an excellent portrait chair for the little ones!

Here's Avalon Grace on her 2nd birthday!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
