Hello friends! Welcome to The Homemaking Party! I've been working on last minute Christmas prep this week and plan to finish our baking and candy making today. I went looking on my blog for this recipe as I can't find my card and thought I'd share it here with all of you today. Let me know what you've been doing in your kitchen and be sure to link up your homemaking posts below! Happy Holidays!
Chocolate Cornflake No Bakes
1 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. peanut butter
5 c. cornflakes
Bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil and boil for one minute. Add chocolate chips and peanut butter and stir until smooth. Mix in cornflakes and drop onto wax paper to cool.
My mom used to make these, but she never used chocolate... which sounds even better! This is a sweet memory as Mom just died earlier this week. Thank you for the link up party.
ReplyDeleteOh how special to have come across it today to bring back happy memories. I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. I hope you have a peaceful holiday! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteThanks for the party. Glad to see you back. I have been wanting to make Cookies from Chocolate Covered Frosted Flakes. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I don't think I've seen Chocolate Covered Frosted Flakes! Let me know if you make them. Merry Christmas to you!
DeleteMy mom also used to make something similar. They were a bit hit.

I got this recipe the first year I was married (1998) at a church cookie swap. An older lady shared it with us and they were my favorite of the swap!
DeleteSarah, thank you for hosting another delicious party!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Jean!
DeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely party. I linked up my Brownie ornament cookies, #50. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Bev
