Welcoming Princess Cambridge with Cucumber Sandwiches and Tea

Close to 200,000 princesses were born around the world today, but there's one special one I'm celebrating! Princess Cambridge, the second child of Prince William and Princess Kate, was born this morning in London. With the royal couple's fourth anniversary having just passed, and now the arrival of a new royal baby, (hoping they'll announce the name before the night is out!) I'm ready to royally celebrate with some sweets, savories, and maybe a few royal "dork"umnetaries. (That's what Jamie calls my beloved documentary shows...)

My mom bought me this pretty Tea For One a few years ago for my birthday. I showed off my newest one a few days ago, (check out my Strawberry Teatime Torte for a great follow up dessert recipe) so I thought I'd better pull out this pretty one and give it the spotlight today. I just love these! Once I collect enough, I'll have a special tea party for my book club friends and we'll each use our own pretty set.

I'm sure there are lots of ways to put together a delicious Cucumber Sandwich. I like mine savory and these are nothing but a simple twist on my Cucumber Flowers recipe. Hope you enjoy! Let me know how you plan to celebrate the newest baby to join the royal family.

Cucumber Sandwiches (makes about 10)

8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. mayonnaise
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp. dill
1 cucumber
1 loaf white bread

Mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, and dill, until smooth. Spread thickly on each slice of bread. Slice cucumbers thinly and place on top of cream cheese mixture. Put sandwiches together and slice off edges using a sharp, serrated knife. Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with strips of cucumber peel, herbs, and flowers.

Candy Race Cars from the Berenstain Bears' Country Cookbook #FCBlogger

I received merchandise from Family Christian in exchange for promoting the following product. All opinions are honest and are my own. #FCBlogger

It's been a lazy Saturday here at the Coller house---the kind where everyone does their own creative thing and mom runs out to Walmart 15 minutes before lunch time to grab deli chicken. Lynzie and Avalon had been planning a fun cooking project and this was the perfect day to do it. We received this Berenstain Bears Country Cookbook from Family Christian for review and found a great treat inside that the whole family was excited about.

With just a few sweet ingredients, Lynzie and Avalon made up a tray of these super cute Race Car Cookies. It was an easy recipe for Avalon to read and follow.

Aren't they cute? She had a blast making them and they tasted yummy, too! Make sure to check out Family Christian to order your own copy.

Cleaning Up Our Picnic Tables with Fabuloso #MiFabuloso #Ad #cbias

This is our second spring in Northwest Arkansas and, while I've never been a warm weather girl, I'm determined to get outside and enjoy the abundant sunshine {and humidity---yikes!} that's already started bringing 80ยบ days our way! Last summer, one neighbor gave us this glass top picnic table and another gave us a plastic picnic table for the little kids. After a rainy, muddy winter, they needed some serious cleaning up before we enjoyed our first outside barbecue. We'd never used Fabuloso® multi-purpose cleaner before, so we decided to check out the lavender scent. Michael scrubbed them down and, in just a few minutes, they were sparkling and ready for picnicking!

I found Fabuloso® all-purpose cleaner in the cleaning aids section at Walmart. The price was great for the large quantity of cleaner in the bottle and there were several scents to chose from.

I grabbed a bottle of Lavender and a bottle of Limited Edition Spring in Bloom. These will be great to use when I want to clean my floors, the windows, even my car. I like stocking up on affordable products so I'm ready when I'm surprised by the cleaning urge. Ha!

Once Michael had the tables clean for us, we spread out our table cloth and enjoyed a delicious barbecue supper. See my sparkly table edge? Looking fabulous! I'm really looking forward to lots of picnics outside this spring and summer. I've already had my first tea party!

The kids enjoyed their picnic supper at their new, clean table. They loved how it smelled like lavender and I feel much more comfortable having them eat outside when things are clean. I know "dirt won't hurt", but bird poo is sort of yucky to be dining over...

Have you used any of the Fabuloso® cleaning products? Which big cleaning project in your home would be made easier by multi-purpose Fabuloso®?
