Welcome to the Homemaking Party! We're snowed in again here in NW Arkansas! I think this makes the 5th time this year! The plus side of snow days is that my husband gets to work from home. Yay!
Yesterday I made some of the kids' favorite Apple Bread for breakfast. I thought I'd share the recipe with you all here. The recipe below makes one loaf but I always triple it so we have enough for two breakfasts. Hope you have a great day!
Easy Apple Quick Bread
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled & chopped
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 Tb. lemon juice
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
cinnamon sugar mix for sprinkling
Heat oven to 350ยบ and spray the bottom of a bread pan with nonstick spray. Mix butter and sugar until smooth, then add eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla. Add flour, soda, and salt and mix well. Stir in chopped apples and spread in baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake 45-50 minutes or until done in the middle.

Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday! Your bread looks delicious. I want to try your recipe. We've got a ton of snow today so I can't get to the store for apples but I've got to make this tomorrow. Hope you will come over and share your apple bread recipe at Wake Up Wednesday Linky Party at my place.

ReplyDeleteThe weather has been very different this year everywhere. Trust things get better your way. We are due a very cold day Thursday with possible snow flurries. That bread sounds wonderful.

Ooooh, I'll bet this is yummy! I love apples and cinnamon stuff! We haven't had any snow where I live. We had literally had a couple of snow flurries but they didn't stick. But my hubby works from home too when we have a bad snow (which isn't very often fortunately). Thanks for hosting today!
