Nudging Your Pup With Healthy Dog Treats #NudgesMoments #cbias #shop

It occurred to me, recently, that our little Yorkie, Mr. Darcy, has never been on the blog!  Since I had the opportunity to shop for Nudges Dog Treats today, I thought I'd introduce him and show you all how much he loved the chicken jerky for dogs that Elisha and I picked up for him at Walmart. You can see photos and read about our shopping trip when you visit my Google+ album

Mr. Darcy used to really be on the ball about performing tricks and responding to commands, but we've all sort of slacked off lately on testing his skills.  Earlier this evening, Elisha and I took him to the back yard to see if he'd obey some of his favorite prompts.  Maybe it was just because our cat, Brigadier General Cat O'Neill was giving him the eye, but he was not at all interested.

Until we broke out the treats...  Elisha opened up the bag and tore off a small amount to test him with.  Nudges Wholesome Dog Treats tear really easily for all sizes of dogs and, with no fillers or artificial flavors, I feel safe giving him these snacks regularly.

Once Mr. Darcy realized there was a reward in it for him, he started responding immediately to Elisha's commands.  He sat, stood up, shook hands, and rolled over---each time being rewarded with a high quality Nudges treat.  Nudges treats are packed with protein and 11 essential vitamins.  They're made in the U.S.A. with real American chicken.  Mr. Darcy thinks they're the best dog treats ever!

One reason why we like to train Mr. Darcy and reward him for obedience is because we want to be able to take him out in public without him being an irritation to others.  If we want to go for a walk, attend a BBQ in the park, or have friends over for some outside fun, we don't want our dog barking and jumping on people.  It's important that he obeys commands like "sit" or "lay down" so he will make it a pleasant experience for everyone.

Elisha had a lot of fun practicing Mr. Darcy's tricks with him.  I think we'll make this a regular habit!
