Scrapbooking Sweet Memories --- Homemaking Link-Up Weekend

Happy Friday!
Lately, I've been in the mood to do some scrapbooking.  I have SO many supplies but SO little time! Ha!  The last time I worked on scrapbooks, I was inspired by this sweet picture of Selah.  One day last year, she dressed up pretty, had Lynzie do her hair, and asked me to do a photo shoot!
When I was going through the pictures, I was reminded of this one we took of her when she was just a few days old.  This was her first day at church and she was wearing Lynzie's red baby dress.
Jamie bought me this pretty Victorian scrapbooking paper with pinks and reds and beautiful roses.  In fact, he's bought me a bunch of this over the last few years but I've not used it as much as I would have liked to.  So, one day I put together this layout featuring her in the red dress...
...and the baby dress!  Why oh why do they have to grow up so quickly?
I made a couple other sets but have yet to fill them with pictures and embellishments.
This one is my favorite but I think I'll change out that weird white bow at the bottom left of the page on the right.  The lace was sent to me by a good friend from Finland whom I met on Bookcrossing.com.
What kinds of pretty projects have you been working on lately?  Do you have a favorite of my three layouts?

  1. Very pretty! :) I too, have tons of scrapbooking things and pictures...but no time. I recently have been working on smash books because they take a little less time...but I still want to scrapbook. We may be putting their baby photos in when they've grown up and moved away! ha!

  2. Thanks for hosting! I love scrapbooking & just started to do more digital. I have to say I love either way. When I get the chance I love pulling out all the papers & creating with my hands. I need to do that soon. Looks like yours is off to a good start!

  3. I have never gotten into scrape booking. Worlds of Peoria have them. I enjoy so much when you share some of your family. Each and every one is so special and unique in their own way. You and hubby are raising a super family. I dropped by your daughter's blog.

  8. I love to browse the scrapbooking aisles at the craft stores but haven't taken the plunge into starting my own project (yet). After reading your post, I think that a project involving my children is the best place to start. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Happy Pink Saturday,

    Erica

  10. I love the combination of textures and colors you've created in here. I'll try doing this mix and match design you got here on my own stuff too, perhaps to my file case or my file holders or both? Thanks for the idea by the way. -Demi B.
